Tuition & Fees
1. There is an enrollment fee of 100 LVL per family due upon enrollment each school year which is non-refundable after the child’s admission to the EFR.
2. The monthly tuition fee is 250 LVL for the first child and 230 LVL for brothers and sisters. The payments are due between the 1st to the 10th of each month. Administrative costs for late payment will be applied for each day of delay, up to 0.5% of the monthly cost. If payment is not received by the 25th of the month, the child may not be accepted at school.
3. No reductions or refunds will be made for a child absent from school whatever the reason.
4. Cases of force majeure (a move of over 30 km, parental job loss or lengthy illness, etc.) warrant a meeting with the school direction in order to allow absence from the EFR during the school year. When the child leaves the school, the current month’s entire tuition fee is due as well as the following month’s.
5. Latvian language classes will be held as optional learning for the Grande Section de Maternelle . Children who attend these classes will receive a certificate of the preschool education valid in local (Latvian) schools.
6. Meals must be paid monthly. Meals cost 2,50 LVL per day. This is a single price for the three meals and no reduction will be made if a child misses one or two of them during the day. However, a reduction will be made on the next month’s price for each full day away from school.
7. The “garderie” (day care) is a service provided from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm.
8. The annual fee for each optional activity proposed outside of the school hours (for example: football, dance, music, Russian language...) depends on the chosen activity. The classes for your choice will be offered in September.
9. You may apply for tuition assistance from the French government if your child has the French nationality and is registered at the French Consulate in Riga. The forms may be obtained through the school direction. You will then have to make an appointment with the French Consulate (tel. 6 703 6600 - web site). Appointments must be scheduled before March for consideration in the first round, scheduled for April. Late applications will be considered in the second round, scheduled for October.
